Step 1 – Design the Homepage
-
About Tab – Description
The first thing new visitors notice about your channel is the About (Description) section. Here, showcase:
- What useful content and information your channel offers.
- The types of videos you focus on.
- Your video upload frequency.
- Your social media links for more information.
- Anything that can attract first-time visitors to subscribe.
-
Channel Art – Cover Photo
YouTube cover photos have fixed dimensions (typically at least 2048 x 1152 pixels). Use tools like Canva, Snappa, or PowerPoint to create a perfect cover.
-
Channel Icon – Channel Avatar
Your Channel Icon represents you across YouTube (Homepage, Search Results, Subscriptions, Comments, Featured Channels, Related Channels). Ensure it is clear, unique, and recognizable.
Step 2 – Keyword Research
Start by using high-demand keywords that users are actively searching for, using tools like YouTube Auto-Complete. Choose keywords that match your video ideas.
Step 3 – Video Script
Having a script prevents you from being lost for ideas on camera. Viewers prefer videos that are concise and engaging. If you’re not comfortable with on-camera presentation, prepare a detailed outline or script.
Tip: If your voice isn’t strong, consider using an AI voice tool like AI Viettel.
Step 4 – Optimize SEO
-
Include Keywords in Video Title
Ensure the exact keyword is in the title and make it intriguing to grab attention.
-
Use Keywords 2-3 Times in the Description
Write a natural description (100-200 words) and incorporate keywords where they fit.
-
Use Keyword-Rich Tags
Start with your main keyword, then add related tags to accurately describe your video content.
Step 5 – Increase Comments
Engagement through comments boosts video ranking. Encourage comments by:
- Asking for viewers’ opinions at the end.
- Using a Pinned Comment to invite responses.
- Replying to comments within the first 48 hours.
Step 6 – Grow Subscribers
-
Focus on Quality
Viewers are drawn to valuable and captivating content.
-
Optimize the End-Screen
Add a prominent Subscribe button and suggest related videos in the last 20 seconds.
Step 7 – Increase Session Duration
Longer session times make your content more popular. You can optimize this by:
- Adding Next Video suggestions in the End-Screen.
- Creating Playlists that autoplay videos in sequence.
- Using YouTube Studio for in-depth insights once you have a stable subscriber base.
Good luck with your YouTube journey!
